I have no experience with tuways I use mainly glads without glides. Any input how they compare,as far as tip blooming, soil holding capabilities,Sf per pad using both sides. pricing is about the same thinking of trying a few tuways. Machine I'm using is Orbot.

They're not quite as absorbent as cotton or cotton/blend pads. They last forever by comparison to cotton. They're easier to launder than cotton. And they're considerably less abrasive to the fiber than cotton.

The Tuways are a great choice for OP cleaning when you're using an encap product like Encap-Punch, since you'll be cleaning with two methods (absorption and encapsulation). Although they're not quite as absorbent as cotton, you'll still have the benefit of working with an encapsulant.

Give 'em a spin (literally) - I think you'll like 'em.

I've been finding the tuways to be very versatile with OP cleaning. Sometimes I use it to straight encap with the Orbot. You can run the same pad for a long time because it won't really get sopping wet and fly solution everywhere.

It is also great on residential to scrub with. Honestly though, many times once you use the tuways and look at the carpet, it looks great already. You still can follow up with a more absorbent pad if necessary.

They certainly do wash better than pads like glads or cottons. I would think only microfiber would come out even better after washing.

The only thing I've noticed is that they develop little balls of fiber after a while. Oh well, I guess you can look at those as scrubbing beads. happy.gif

I keep one seperate and do not use it for anything else other than applying flouro protection. I apply the protection and work it into the carpet with a t-pad.

I'm glad you liked that one Alex. It's just funny sometimes when products are marketed by putting a coined phrase to promote the simplest of things.

Good idea on keeping a separate tuway for protector. Wouldn't want to leave a bunch of stuff on the newly cleaned carpet.
