Just curious what you guys are charging churches for cleaning. We charge 14 cents on carpeting and $1.00 a linear foot for pews with upholstered bottom and back.

I do quite a few churches. The biggest in my area is on a routine maintenance plan. Day Care and fellowship areas are cleaned monthly and the Sanctuary and main hallways are done quarterly. Other areas are done semi-annually. My prices range from 8 cents a sf up to 20 cents per sf, depending on the soiling conditions and how I have to clean the areas in question. My pew prices are $1.50 per lf.

Don't base your prices on averages, or anything posted here.

Base them on you cost of doing business per hour and the amount of sf you can clean per hour.

What Denomanation?

Baptist-.14 sq. ft. Methodist- .15 sq ft. Catholic- .16 a square foot. I am not trying to be funny here, but checking these three churcches (two are under contract) that is what we charge them. Pews vary, Catholic churches with sooooo much wax on the pews we charge the most.

I was just thinking about soliciting some churches the other day and a question popped into my head. How do you get inbetween the pews? I dont think my Cimex will fit.

On first time cleanings, or subsequent restoration cleanings, I wand between the pews. In between restoration cleanings, I vodoo clean using my 15 inch OP machine. Tight fit, but it works.

Tile

One of the Catholic church we do has tile in the Sanctaury and the Turbo Hybrid I got from Rick fits perfectly between the pews. We also have the 15" OP that works well on the carpeted ones.

Used to use HOST machine equipped with zebra brushes with encap cleaner mixed at a dilution for heavier soiling.

We clean many churches in our area and we charge anywhere from .15 to .20 a sf. Luckily, all the churches we clean either have vct under the pews or have chairs in the sanctuary that are movable. However, we are cleaning three funeral homes this week with carpet under the pews. We usually HWE those areas and Cimex everything else.
