Marble hone and polishing

Dave I was wondering if the diamonds that Rick sells are the same that you use? Also I have been told that the Cimex is a great/awesome honer but that a strong 175 with weight is a better polisher. Is that accurate?

In case Dave doesn't see this post.

Yes to all of the above.

Yes Dave uses our diamonds.
Yes the Cimex is unmatched for grinding and honing.
And yes a 175 rpm rotary is the best machine for powder polishing.

Hi Joel

Like Rick said you want a swing machine for powder polishing and for any diamond work - from rough gring to polishing steps - you can use a Cimex, they work very well for that. But when you're all done with your diamonds you will still need to powder polish and that's when you'll use your swing machine.

We have a basic line of marble restoration products on this page....
http://www.excellent-supply.com/store/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=7

You will need a set of Velcro Drivers to mate up with the finer velcro on the backing of of the diamonds.
And you will need 9 of each grit of the 3" diamond disks (3 for each driver).
