I'm wondering if anyone has tried Encap-basic yet and what their experience with it is.

Dion,

I don't think you'll see much feedback on Encap-Basic yet on this forum. It's still a pretty new product, and the primary customers for Encap-Basic so far have been to the janitorial trade. By comparison, the professional carpet cleaners are still mostly using Encap-Clean DS.

Encap-Basic is a great product that's cheaper to work with. In large installations where cost is a primary concern, Encap-Basic is an ideal product. It cleans very well, and it crystallizes superbly. We expect that as people continue to become more aware of this product it'll be very popular for its intended market.

Rick explained encapping to me years ago. Used Encap Basic for follow up cleaning maintenance and it works exactly as you would expect.
