whats the best technique yo use

hi everyone,
just wondering what the best technique is when using your cimex, I'm trying to pick up speed sacraficing quality.
The way I've been going is push forward about 4 feet than back, then overlapping to the next side (so basically I do one wet pass one dry pass) but I can only do about 800 sqft an hour this way (and I'm busting my buttas much as I can) maybe a bit more. I'd love to get into the 1500 sqft/hr range though.
Any help or sugestions?

Thanks all
Bill Y

1500 per hour including the pre-vac or not?

in an open area or hall i go as far as the 50' cord will allow then come back dry then over about 13 inches and do it again.

with my partner doing all the pre-vac'ing we get about 1000 - 1500 per hour max.

I'm dead on with Dereck only thing faster is pump and stroll meaning squeeze the lever occationally while you walk and no dry pass, for very light soiled areas only which isn't very often. I suggest you watch Ricks videos. The one thing that stands out is go for the length of the cord letting solution out one way and dry pass back on the return trip, overlap just enough to not leave streaks.

Jeff nailed it.

Watch the video. It will give you a visual idea of how to run hour Cimex.

Stop making 4 foot passes. Instead make 50 foot passes. The only time you wanna make short passes is when you're working in tight congested areas.

Normal Soil:
Make a moderately quick wet pass. Then make a fairly slow dry pass. The dry pass can be augmented by pumping the trigger intermittently every few steps. Overlap each new pass by a couple of inches. The wet pass / dry pass pattern should yield around 2,000 sq ft per hour.

Heavy Soil:
Similar to the method above, however you'l make an extra couple of dry passes. So now you're making maybe 3 or 4 passes. This method will be much slower, normally under 1,000 sq ft per hour.

Light Soil:
In sections of the building that are fairly clean, make a single pass. Simply walk along at a moderately slow pace, tapping the trigger gently - feathering out the solution very gradually. All of the cleaning gets done in a single pass. This mode of cleaning will be up in the 3,000 sq ft per hour range.
