Challenger -vs- Orbot

anyone out there used both machines in the field?

i do own both but since today was my 1st day with the Orbot, it is too soon for me to tell. i am not sure if it cleans any better than the Challenger, though it may, i just haven't had the time with it yet. seems like it would clean as good or better since it is heavier.

it is of course faster since it covers more ground with it being bigger. and i don't have to fight with it like the Challenger (on some carpet), since it wheels effortlessly forward.

still getting used to it. i wont be using the Sprayborg likely until Spring, as winterizing it and then un-winterizing it b4 a resi job just isn't practical for me. but the Multisprayer works fine in a resi situation, and allows for dwell time.

i do know with the Orbot i am not as tired physically at the end of the day. the vibration that makes my arms itch with the Challenger, is not there with the Orbot.

i was thinking i was gonna sell my Challenger, but now i reckon i will keep her for a backup. she still does an excellent job....a faithful piece of machinery she has been happy.gif

I think you answered your own question Derek. It sounds as if the Orbot delivered a number of benefits to you that surpassed the Challenger. From your description it doesn't appear there's much of a comparison. And I would agree with your idea of keeping the Challenger for a back-up machine, that makes good sense to me. They're both great machines, however the refinements of the Orbot make it stand out as a more functional piece of equipment in the field.

The other side of it Derek is the appearence to our customers, like my original Hos and your Challenger both resemble floor buffers, where as the Orbot gives the appearence of latest technology in low moisture cleaning
