Cimex Plumbing...Cold Weather...

December 24 2008 at 6:21 PM
Matt

My Cimex is ALWAYS clogging up...but before you reply with a link on how to clean it out...I already have it.

My problem is this: flushing out the system is exceedingly difficult here in the Northern States, considering its usually below freezing, flushing with a hose becomes difficult.

Does anyone have any chemical they use, or method that they use when they cannot flush out the plumbing with a hose?

Thanks,

Matt

Blasting it with high pressure air is a "waterless" alternative.

I live in a cold climate as well, I don't really have a problem with that.

What I do is when done cleaning, turn off the valve and disconnect the tubing. Then I lift the head of the Cimex up and continue to run it for a couple of minutes, it's amazing how much juice there still is and this way it runs itself out of there. Since I started doing this, i've never had a clogging problem.

Aris, so what happens to the juice while you are running the mex with the head tilted up?
