Steamin Demon PSI

December 31 2008 at 1:48 PM
Matt

How would you boos the psi of the demon? Just curious because some times she wont fit in tight spots and we have been able to hook up a hose & wand to reach tight areas...however it doesnt seem to work well, and I think it is the psi...

Thanks

One of the short comomgs of the Demon, you are running on tap pressure which can vary from home to home. Now for those out of the way areas you are talking about I doubt if they are that soiled that you need to worry to much about them, use a stair tool

If this product ever makes it around the other side of this planet, down into the southern hemisphere & into the Alpha Quadrant around Cairns in particular, how will it handle the heat ??

I do realise that for you Floridians, Florida is nice & warm when it's not getting ravaged by hurricanes, but how will it handle the extremes of damp, toasty warm temperature that us Cairnsites have to endure when we are not battened down for another cyclone ??

With all due respect for our upside down situation, we have now mastered the art of encapsulation cleaning using Releasit DS.

We now have dry carpet even before we encap same.

Thank you, beam me up Gary.

Steamin Demon PSI

Don,

sometimes we flush our office accounts, and the cleaning path of the demon wont make it into most cubicles...those areas get lots of foot dirt...but I was just curious if there was some type of booster of if some one has used one

Shorty...Up here you would be described as one "unusual" individual. LOL.

Happy New Years!

There can be and usually are a few reasons for the drop in flow and pressure.

1. the wand have that little steel line on it and not a 3/8 or at least 1/4 inch hose on it.

2. the hose used to connect to the Demon is not 3/8 (a biggie)

3. the jet size is small 03 or larger work best.

I have been using Demons since before the Demon II came out, there are many ways to work around any initial short comings it has.

Heat you buy a high pressure high heat Demon, or just re plum the one you have with 3/8 high heat hoses use crimps or pressure wash fittings in the pluming and Bingo it works great.

You can also modify the vac shoe to go wider and put in a medal grid in the shoe for WD.

Thanks, David. The wand we had used only had a small steel line on it, that may have been the issue.

As for widening the vac shoe...will that increase CFM, or just allow for heavier volume?

Thanks agian,

Matt

Hi Matt
widening the shoe allowed me to get more water out of the carpet because of the grid I put in it. This was done with a older Demon we have it would not have been done to one used for carpet cleaning everyday.

New Steamin Demon W/ High PSI

January 2 2009, 1:34 PM

They are releasing a New XL model that is made to handle high pressure. It will have a seperate unit that will be basically a pressure unit. This machine will have 3 times the power of a Truck Mount unit with 1.5 gal per minute and 600 PSI at the truck. It is call the Pro Flow System, all together the unit will be around $5,700 plus shipping.

3 X the Power of a Truckmount ??????????????

January 2 2009, 3:12 PM

1.5 gal flow? Talk about low flow. We flow 10 at the wand, and up to 260 degrees. How can you compare this to a new high flow, high pressure,(up to 2000 psi) high temp. Truckmount? I own a Stemin Demon and I can tell you there is no comparison between the two.

Rambo, this is a new machine coming out this year, not the unit you own! I just talked to the manufacturer last week.

This machine is going to have around 2600 PSI. It is 2 separate components, a high pressure XL15 or XL20 Deamon unit and a pressure unit(similar to a pressure washer).

I compared it to a truck mount with 600 PSI and 1.5 gal per minute. There are monsters in the Truck mount world, but dollar for dollar this Deamon will blow them out of the water.

There is a unit out now that will handle high pressure the high pressure hose from a TM or what ever hooks up to the Demon, ou can also run it with low pressure.

Ray your wand flows at 10 gallons a minute? What pump are you using.
Ever try a Demon running at 3 plus gallons a minute at 200 degrees?
