Has anyone ever done BONNET with the Cimex and if you have how well does it do in the residential. If you are doing bonnet with Cimex, how many bonnets do you use in an average size house and what chemicals do you use?

The 8" bonnets for the Cimex are useful for limited bonnet cleaning applications.

They're helpful for when you want to extract some extra soil following normal encap cleaning. Let's say you've just cleaned an entire building with your Cimex. But right at the entry the carpet is loaded with soil and the appearance is not popping like the rest of the building. In situations like this I've had great results putting the 8" bonnets onto the Cimex to pull some additional soil in the higher soil areas. It really finishes off the carpet nicely.

However in all honesty, I think the Cimex would not be the optimum choice for stand alone bonnet cleaning. You'd have to change out the small bonnets frequently. For my money I would recommend a rotary machine, or better yet - an OP machine for performing full-on bonnet cleaning.

I second Rick's opinion on the OP machine...the cimex bonnets never seemed to pull out as much dirt as a larger area under an OP machine.

I've found in Resi if we have areas (entrances to kitchen & bath) that are still slightly dingy we pull out the OP and moisten the bonnet in Punch and go over it.

That usually does quite well.
