Liquid vs. Powder

Any one out there ever uses a powder encap product vs. Realesit? I know that Realesit is one of the greatest products out there, I was just wondering how a powder stands up to Rick's chems.

Please e-mail me with your experience in this. Please do not respond here because this is Rick's site and I don't want to cause any trouble with trying to advertise other chems. I am just doing a test here. I think the best way to respond is to do it on an e-mail so is to keep this site strictly Realesit. Of course if it is alright with Rick, but to be safe, e-mail me.

What to look for...

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE POLYMER happy.gif

It's always good to compare. To evaluate any product that claims to encapsulate - dry some in a dish. Does it dry to a brittle residue that readily releases from the dish? Or does it dry tacky/sticky? And equally important; is there good mass (bulk, substance) to the polymer? Or is the dried polymer kind of frail in the dish?

If the polymer is weak, the encapsulation process will be compromised. Regardless of which product you choose, make sure there's sufficient polymer to capture and hold soil.

Some additional things to consider are its ability to clean and its ability to resist re-soiling. Does it have good oil releasing, olefin quenching, traffic lane cleaning capabilities? Does it have a built-in protector?

Bottom line, put 'em through their paces. Some real-world side by side tests in the field can help you compare actual results. It's always fun to evaluate how the products stack up against each other. As they say, the proof will be in the pudding.

My experience has been the powder product is less expensive to initially purchase, after that it is all downhill. The powder formula did not foam as well needed more liquid to do the same amount of SQ ft, which means the job takes longer and you go through more chemicals. My calculations have told me that in the end Releasit cost me less money due to higher production rates and using less chemicals
