| Question 1.
Does anyone do any motels? I am going to do a demo for Motel 6 because they are complaining about all the carpet they have hired because it took a full day and a night to dry. There tenants complain that their socks are always black from the carpet. They said they would give my 20-30 rooms in one shot once per month. They said that if they like my work it is possible to do all in my city of Motel 6.
Question 2.
Would it be to my benefit to Cimex & then bonnet right after or just Cimex?
Thanx :~}

Did they give you a price per room?
I would be concerned with how many rooms in one shot
as opposed to how many in a month. Make sure everything is
in writing.
If everyone was complaining about black socks you will need to at least need to post bonnet

Did a demo for motel 8 probably two years ago...manager loved the job, said of the five guys he had there today he wanted me to do it. We agreed for $10 per room, it had about 40 rooms...he said call later and schedule with the lady at the desk.
I call later and the lady at the desk tells me they are not interested. I said that I was supposed to call..."Well the room you cleaned still smells like smoke so we are going with the other guy"...but ma'm i cleaned the carpet, not the furniture and walls, etc. they would need to also be cleaned to get the smoke odor out.."NOPE! another guy did it and it doesn't smell!"
Turns out, the manager got alot of carpets cleaned for free that day...probably does it once a year! Be careful of these types of places!

Don't do hotels for the reasons stated above. I can make more money with less hassles on other jobs. |

hotels are great. of the 4 i've done, i've only done 2 dozen rooms. lots of hallways, ballrooms and restaurants that they want done more often than rooms, apparently.

Sounds like Hotels doesn't it? Hmmmm i wonder why! Whatever you do, make sure none of the mngt and owners have that last name. If they do, don't walk...RUN. |

You will have to pad. I think that was the question.
You will use a ton of pads, the experience is priceless and you may or may not get paid, get more work etc.
Soon as possible, set your sights on something else. But do as many of the rooms as you can....and learn.
They rarely turn out well at all but your case me be different.
What those above me have written is true.

Cleaning hotels like these are usally time consuming and not worth the money, the previous post about the motels being on by the Patels that was comical but true, Professionally if you want to do these i would prespray with a good degreaser mixe with a odorcide and extract with no solution ( yep I said no soulution). Now as for us the only way we do hotels is if they pay us for total deodorising each unit and we dont do less than 20 at a time. |
