An unusual requestJanuary 27 2009 at 3:37 PM | Stan |
| For the first time ever I actually had a customer call and ask if we could clean her laminate floors at the same time we clean her tile & grout. She is trying to remove an (unknown)oily residue probably left by her house cleaning service. She has made two attempts using vinegar and/or alcohol without success. I would be greatful for information from anyone who has real-world experience cleaning (beyond using a swifter)laminate floors. |

Sounds like an interesting product. I never knew you could put a coating on laminate flooring before. Might try this on my home first.
Is it recommended to use a machine to scrub with? Anyone have success on real wood floors? |

Same product can be used on hardwood and cork floors, they also have products for hard surface. |

Small jobs can be done by hand tool, larger jobs a regular rotary and a white pad |

Guys-
I like using my Oreck Orbiter with mainly a white pad and cleaner if its really soiled I use red pad. Nice thing it also gets rid of the footprinting so common with laminate flooring. Drives women crazy they clean the floor then turn around and have pet and kids footprints. My daughter has 3 dogs 3 boys 8years-2 years and their freinds and the floor holds up well. |

Sounds like an excellent product and one that requires little to no extra investment other than the product itself.
Seems like they have one for VCT as well. I wonder what the advantage would be over using floor wax as a finish. |

The product for hard surface can be used on VCT, also great on ceramic, porcelain, concrete, pvc, vinyl composite, and slate.
It is called Laminator Deluxe. A good Canadian product.

From your experience, how long does it hold up in a residential environment and an office setting? People seem to always want to know what they can expect.
I actually just booked a small area for this product without even buying it yet. Seems like it's easy to sell since there really aren't any other options for pergo type floors. |
