Many of us

I have an XL-15.

David Hebert is  probably the biggest Demon user on this board.

Ray used to use them a fair amount too.

What do you want to know Phil?

I have just fixed my mtee 2/2 stage 100 psi machine and been looking at a few things. Sd is on the list.

I am starting to focus on more restaurant work and will be using serious enzymes.....might think about putting the SD to work there so long as it doesn't leave the carpets too wet.

In fact, it might become my go-to extractor IF it does not leave em too wet.

I'd sure like to input.

I like the Demon for commercial use, I didn't care for it on residential, but maybe its just me. I lost the account that I used it on, so mine might be for sale.It is the classic model, high pressure,so you can hook it up to a electric pressure washer, portable or truckmount. Its about a year old,has about 50 hours on it,extra section of hoses and the upholstery window.
They are nice to have, just wish I had more use out of it:(

As far as how wet, I have been impressed with my non-glided XL-15's ability to recover the water laid down.

I am waiting on some parts I ordered so that I can hook up an upstream pressure washer detergent injector and run a acid rinse/emulsifier on a draw.

I do agree that I prefer my porty over my Demon  in residential- ESPECIALLY if they have furniture.  If it is a move out the Demon is pretty good though.

You can always get a holed glide for roughly $225 to recover more solution too.

You will get excellent dry times using the Demon, We use it in restaurants all the time. They have some good HOT WATER.

I have flooded carpets with the Demon purposely to show how much water it can pick up, then leave the carpet darn dry.

Here is a link to a few pictures

I have ones of nastier carpet coming clean if you need them.

On the residential side I will go against the grain with most here. I love the Demon in that setting, realized I went from a box extractor to a Century product (portable) to the Demon in rapid succession. The Classic to me is easy to maneuver around, it maybe because of the way I set up to clean also.

Note I always use a CBM or Op to agitate prespray, even when using a TM

Been using my Demon Classic for flood work. It does a nice job. Love the pump out. If I had a complaint, it would be that I get tired sometimes from holding the wheels slightly of the carpet while extracting. Gets me in the back.
Other than that, I like it fine.

I love my XL 20. It can be too bulky for residential, but we do alot of trashed empty apartments, and it rocks.

Many times dry times are way under the 3hr mark. If we have to in a pinch, we use a shorth 1.5" hose & solution hose and hook it up to a wand. In these scenarios we turn on the cold water also for more pressure.

We do have the glide on our demon, and it we like it.

SD Deals

If you need any of the Steamin Demon models, with or without a glide, we'll give you a terrific deal on one. Folks who have purchased the Steamin Demon's love 'em. They are an awesome tool for flushing/rinsing a carpet and recovering the water extremely well. They're very light (less than 40 pounds), so they're easy to transport. There's no fill-up or emptying since they're auto-fill auto-dump. It's the perfect extractor IMHO to complement a Cimex for a commercial carpet cleaning business. It can be very useful for the times when deep flushing of a carpet is required. If you need assistance with a Steamin Demon, give us a call 1-800-330-1888.
