What advantages / disadvantages are there compared to using the cimex?

How many sqft an hour can be cleaned with a CRB machine, (such as the Pilemaster TM-4, sprint, whittaker, etc.)?

and...

Do you have to work it back and forth like a wand, or can you walk it along like a cimex (albeit slowly)? the videos ive seen shows the machine going back and forth over the same area 2-3 times - looks VERY time consuming!!!

The Pilemaster is a good machine CRB that can do up to 6-7,000 Sq.Ft./ hour encaping!
It is an upgraded version of the Whittaker machines e.g. includes the collection trays to pre-sweep carpets etc. All in all you can walk behind it and encap on commercial carpets just like with the Cimex.

My limited experience with a crb on commercial or berber carpet hasn't been too positive. I have run into a place which the warranty does not allow any rotary type machine. CRB seems to be the only VLM option.

Have you guys found good success with a crb on commercial type carpet?
