Floor Cover Trivia

Ok,
What is this flooring material? I've never done a VCT job but I was asked to solve a flooring problem in a 2k sq/ft kitchen in a nursing facility.

I emailed the images to my trusty janitorial supplier who said it's definitely VCT. Although it DOES have seams in the floor, it really looks like it's an epoxy floor when you zoom in on the picture.

I applied a small amount of base board stripper in a test area and it came out really clean. It's never had a finish applied to it. The jani co advised to strip and apply 5 coats of finish and that'll do the trick.

I am having second thoughts now about the advice I got because it appears to look like epoxy but it has seams which is unlike an epoxy floor.

Although I have provided my quote, does anyone have any suggestions to ease my anxiety?? [linked image]

It also could be a Armstrong Sheet flooring, if this is the case using a black green or brow pad can ruin the flooring.

I would find out what type of floor is is before you touch it, if yo truly do not know what the floor is. I cannot tell by the picture. It the Floor in sheets tile squares, or just a few seams?

I contacted the manufacturer who referred me to Johnson Diversey for cleaning chems. The above site also has pdf's for floor care. This hard floor stuff is pretty intense.
