Selling yourself green

Paul

As a relative newbie to encaping over here in the UK where this system is still relatively unheard of, I have been doing some direct marketing to chosen sectors that I figured may have an interest in the 'green, eco friendly' aspects of the encap system.

I have since the start of my business a little over a year ago, marketed myself as a 'Green / eco cleaner, that was with my HWE residential cleaning set up and to be fair, aside from using eco chemicals you are rather limited in other ways to differ yourself from the competition - HOWEVER commercial Encap cleaning is totally different and has many green sell benefits.

Having listened with interest to Ricks latest Pro cleaners recording, I totally agree that the encap system is a very green way to clean compared to other methods -

Low water consumption - About a gallon per 1000sq ft.

No dirty waste water to dispose.

No open entrance doors or windows - saving on heat & air con.

Very little electricity used - running on a std 13amp plug
( Actually if anyone has any figures for cimex cr48 power consumption I would really appreciate it, as I want to show some comparison figures of power used compared to other methods, I'm sure it must be pretty low )

Then of course there is the cleaning rather than replacing the dirty carpets in the first place, as most are not bio degradable yet and end up in land fill sites - you get the idea.

So anyway, all I'm saying is (if you haven't already) pushing the 'Green clean' is very worthwhile and I personally can demand a higher price.

I've now picked up work with a government organisation that should lead to a good chunk of regular evening work for me and the same organisation hands out 'green business awards' so I'm going to be pushing for one of those too, it all helps!!

If anyone has any other good green selling points / ideas to help market the green aspect please post them - e.g. offering paperless invoicing....etc

Thanks
