Cimex will not move forward?

March 1 2009 at 8:49 PM
Ron

While working today, my machine will not rotate if I move it forward, going back is no problem.

Carpet is pre-sprayed and solution is flowing.

How do I fix it? Step by step if you know how.

Thanks

Hi Ron,

I experienced the same problem just recently. If your Cimex is fairly new or a couple years old, and it haven't fell off the truck or anything then I can almost guarantee you its a very minor issue.

I would start with checking the even flow of juice to all three drivers. If one is restricted it will cause that problem. Once that checks out o.k. then the next thing.

More than likely its the belt that is slipping. Order yourself a belt from Ex-Supply install it. I don't recommend belt dressing to keep from buying a belt. (do it right the first time.

While you are at it order yourself a Kodiak cord also. Between the belt and power cord, its a 50/50 chance its the power cord. So just order both and be done with it. Trust me I know the feeling of being in the middle of a job and that happens. Especially when I have no back-up Cimex.
My Cimex runs now better then when I bought it.

Thanks

I think Alex nailed it. It is probably your belt. And belts that are starting to wear are more prone to start slipping when the weather gets cold. We have belts and cords in stock if you need them.
