A New Twist on Todays Commercial Carpet Contract

March 26 2009 at 7:13 PM
Rambo

I will be meeting next week with the owner of a multi-storied office bldg to lay out a new service contract. I met briefly with him today and have been wanting his bldg for some time (I do his home and his sons home) I asked him how the bldg was going (trying to find out how he was hurting) he told me he was unhappy with the Jantorial people (ah-ha, aren't most?) Well, I'm not interested in any Jantorial Contracts, been there and done that, but do want the Carpet Contract. So, my suggestion to him (and how I got the meeting for next week) was to offer to his many women who work in the building some part-time jantorial services giving them a chance to earn extra money, most everyone needs about 10% more every month,(no need to check them out, they already work there and are loyal employees) I will set up their schedule for the girls and I will maintain the carpet and hard surfaces. The light bulb went off in his head and I have a meeting set up. I have one other customer who does this and it has worked well for them (and me) for several years now. Perhaps this will work for you in your area. Please do not ask for a copy of this future Contract as all of mine are drawn up specifically for each bldg./job and are proprietary.

this works great for banks too. Tellers love extra income and it does not take much to keep a bank tiddy.

Ray,
Just for clarification,
Can you expand on what you are offering and how it works? It sounds like you are offering the full time employees extra work? I don't follow....

Thanks,

James, the owner is offering his employees extra work, I am only directing his employees on what and where to work in an effort to keep the bldg. clean on a ongoing basis.
