Wool Rug

With regards to wool rug cleaning procedures, is it necessary to speed dry while using Encap-clean-DS and cimex?

Is it safe to use a finishing protector such as Releaseit Soileze carpet protector?

This perticular customer is most concerned with the tea stains on the bright colored wool carpet. Do to her procrastination, its gotten to the point that she can't take it any more.

I have no Rug Badger. Only a good commercial vac. (conquest)

Al,

Releasit DS is fine to clean most wool rugs. Especially if you are just Cimexing them and then drying them. We actually use Releasit in our wash pit as our wash chemical. We also use it on rugs that we are not going to wash. Once you clean it then dry it with some air movers. Make sure to groom it before it dries.

As for as the rug badger goes, don't worry about not having one for now. It will just take you a lot longer with the vac. but it can still be done. Just flip the rug over and use the vac to vibrate the dry soil out of the rug onto the floor. Once you get all the dry soil out (which could take hours and hours with a vac)then clean it.

Let me know if you need any further help. My email is prodrying@yahoo.com

Soileze Protector, is that safe to use on these wool rugs?

Yes Soileze is safe. Releasit DS has soileze in it and it will not hurt it, as long as the colors are stable. Actually, Soileze is the protector we use on our cleaning truck and in our rug plant. It works well and we have not had any issues using it on wool rugs so for.
