Not Colorfast

Hey all! I have a few questions which I can't find a good answer to...

What does one do if they determine that a carpet is NOT colorfast? Is it merely a change in cleaner? I have Releasit Clean, Hydrox, Punch, and Spot.

If you do a test using Clean, does that assume the other cleaners including Spot is safe on that carpet as well?

If you are using Clean at 50/50 as a spotter would that need tested before using or would it be ok since the normal RTU is ok?

Also, how many do a colorfast test (residential) before every job? Where do you usually do it? In a closet?

Sorry about all the questions, but I really don't want to buy ANYONE new carpet.

-Thanks!

Jon-
The PH content of Release It produts is pretty close to nuetral, even 50/50 mix I have never had a problem. Carpets, most don't pretest unless handmade area rugs where bleeding is a concern. If you feel you still want to test you could in a closet.

Some other brand spotters could cause dye removal from carpet but Ricks will not on any carpet I have come across. Again expensive handmade area rugs and upholstery would be a better concern until you are more comfortable with fabrics and fibers.
