Cotton Bonnets

When I started cleaning with my orbot and releasit I bought tuways, micofiber and fiber plus pads but no cotton bonnets. Should I buy some cotton bonnets and if so way? What cleaning situation would they be more effective in?

Cottons are great for removing large amounts of soil, but they are to agressive for most residential carpets.

Cotton bonnets are all I use on resi. That and fiber plus pads. They work wonders. I've used them on every type of carpet with great luck. But, thats just me.

Glad your not having problems. Cottons do clean the best, but I am not brave enough to use them any more on most residental jobs.

What kind of OP are you using?

I am curious. What issues are you having with cotton on residential carpets?

175 rpm "swing machine". I've always called it an op machine, oops. I was corrected the other day by someone on here, thanks. Sorry. maybe thats why it works since its not an op.

I like the thicker cottons like Hos sells, I do prefer cotton on berber due to the aggressive cleaning, they also work well on bad stains on CGD

Steve,
Cottons are just more likely to tip bloom (if your not real carfull). I use them for the same applications Jeff stated.

Mr Amazing,
That swing machine must be less agressive than an OP, if I were to use fiber pads followed by cotton pads on my OP I would kill most residential carpets. Like Jeff said they are GREAT for commercial and berber and I have brought a few berber carpets back from the dead with cottons and OP.

Mr. Amazing, I also use a rotary. What type cotton pads do you like? Thanks, Bob

Some of the areas I clean need to be as dry as soon as possible. Would cottons be the best pad for this purpose? I use Glads, but they don't get it dry to the touch. Close, but not quite.
