Been to a meeting tonight.
This bloody yank (PEW Foundation) mob are pushing krudd to declare a 1,000,000 square kilometer marine park for the Coral Sea.
To be called the Coral Sea Marine Park (maybe).
They want a complete NO FISHING ZONE that stretches nearly all the way to the Solomon Islands and nearly up to New Guinea.
Not just commercial fishers, but recreational fishers as well.
They site historic sunken wartime memorabilia, yet in their brochure, 7/8ths of the report lists the vessels sunk, as being timber hulled vessels of the 1800's.
The final chapter lists four boats that were sunk prior to WW 1.
None of these were military vessels.
There is no scientific data to back up their other claims.
They even go so far as to say that the area is still in pristine condition.
The fishing industry has been decimated in northern Queensland, yet they maintain that we are over fishing this area.
Fisheries department figures show that xxxx amount of Red Emperor are caught each year, which amounted to .5kilo per square kilomter.
Again, they say it is over fished.
Yet it is still in pristine condition. ????
Peter Garrett is also a maggot pusher for this.
One of his lackeys was at the meeting.
Don't think this is only happening up here.
This particular bloke has an interest in this industry from north of Perth, around the bum of Oz and up to the Queensland border, and has big plans for those areas as well.

By doing other searches, you can find that the WWF is also in on it and George W Bush has been in talks with krudd about the Coral Sea Marine Park.
The PWE Foundation was founded by this old bloke Pew last century.
He owned Sun Oil.
Now his two sons or grandsons own it, and I think 7 out of 8 board members are from the Pew family.
They want it closed to fishing, BUT SAY NOTHING ABOUT OIL OR GAS DRILLING in the "park".
Let them stick these parks in their own backyard, say in the Gulf of Mexico, or from the Florida Keys up to and including the New England coast.
Or even in the Arctic Ocean from where they get their great tasting snow crabs or whatever.
The wall of silence over this has been deafening & I think we should tell all and sundry about what this mongrel guv-urn-mint is trying to do to us.
Are you aware that 70% of all seafood is now imported into Australia ??
I think it is nearly 40% of fruit and veges that is now also imported.
It's time we stood up for ourselves and were counted.
Kick these krudds back to whence they came and get some semblance of practicality in order.
We certainly don't need no foreigners telling us how to manage our affairs.
