In your video, it shows you working the sprint machine back and forth overlapping like you would a vacuum...my question is this: Can It be pushed in a straight line like the cimex and still be affective? What kind of square footage can be achieved per hr on regular-soiled carpet?

You can run a cylindrical brush machine in a straight line like a Cimex. However I prefer to run it in an overlapping V pattern, like a vacuum cleaner, just like you saw in the video.

1. Pre-spray the carpet with an ample amount of Encap-Clean.
2. Scrub the carpet in an overlapping V pattern, releasing a little more additional detergent as you scrub.

This technique produces very good results with a cylindrical brush machine.

Square footage per hour falls in the range of around 1,500-2,000 sq ft per hour.
