Kick it up?

I know DS is good the way it is. But, I have to do a carpet that needs cleaned and look really good. Can I add punch to the DS and how much per gallon?

Sure you can. I do it all the time. I found that punch works better for me as a pre-spray. If the carpet is filthy I will mix 10oz. to 1 gallon. Spray the area scrub in, dwell 5 more minutes, then ENCAP-DS. If theres any pre-spray left I put it in the cimex tank.

Use the products as Alex described. Pre-vacuum and scrub slowly.
Bring your camera. I'm sure you will love the results.

Mixing both?

Is there any advantages to mixing both Punch & DS in the same tank? I have always presprayed it, but never applied them together...

There's no problem from a compatibility standpoint.
Encap-Clean and Encap-Punch are designed to work together.

I like applying the Encap-Punch as a pre-spray first. That way you've got added dwell time.
But it won't hurt anything if you want to mix the two products together.
