I'm about to bid on a good sized apartment complex. I'd appreciate some input on how to bid this and possibly the time to complete, suggestions, ideas, etc etc... THANKS!


17 buildings

halls = 6'x 100' = 600 sf
floors = 3 = 1800 sf

Entry ways 200 sf x 2 = 400 sf

Steps 10? x 2 flights = 20 x 2 entries = 40 steps (4' each in length)

1800 sf x 17 buildings = 30,600 sf of halls
400 x 17 buildings = 6,800 sf entry ways
40 steps x 17 buildings = 680 steps

many ways to price it out and you need to decide what you need to make. I charge by the sq ft for open areas and halls by the linear ft steps by the stair that includes the riser. My brain is calculating how long is this going to take me, while adding up all the areas.


My pricing depends on the ease of access to each floor, how much running around to each building, how trashed the floors, also how much business this company gives me will there be continues maintenance.


A complex similar to yours we do I get 8 cents a sq ft $4.00 a step, done 3X a year
