Magnets for commercial clients

August 13 2009 at 5:13 PM

Joe DeSouza

I was thinking of having some 4x7 magnets made up to leave behind for my commercial carpet cleaning customers...looking for ideas on what to put on them that will be useful and permanent...In other words, calendars, etc. don't cut it because afterwards chances are they would throw them out...

Thanks!

Joe

How about a photo of Rick in his Bday suit? happy.gif

I am tossing around the idea of such a magnet now. It will have my number, a window cleaner, painter, a lawyer, bug guy, interior decorator, handy man, cleaning co, awesome mechanic and many others from my BNI.

Around the edges will be important numbers like poison control, local hospital, cab co etc.

I'm not personally a fan of magnets. Maybe it's just me, but I think they generally look kind of tacky. I wouldn't want to display a companies magnet on the refrigerator at our office or on one of our file cabinets either.

The approach we've used is to leave behind a laminated postcard with the office manager. BTW there's a "leave behind" postcard in the CMS program entitled..."YOUR CARPET IS MAINTAINED BY:" If you will take these to Office Depot they can laminate the postcards. This makes a sharp looking postcard sized reminder that they can stick on their office bulletin board. Even if it gets shoved into a drawer, it will stand out because it's larger than a standard business card. And since it's laminated it seems just a little too nice to toss in the garbage can --- so they hang onto it, and that's exactly what we want them to do happy.gif
