What do you see are the benefits of doubling the DS from 4oz. to say 6 or 8 oz. to a gallon?

your on a job @ 8 oz. per gallon you take one wet & one dry pass & it looks great.

versus:

your on a job @ 4 oz. per gallon you take one wet & two dry passes & it looks great.

that is roughly what i find to be the case.

cleaner, faster.

i prefer the faster route personally.

i ALWAYS use encap @ double strength (except Punch on resi carpet).

but that's just me.

Two things come to mind.

1. Your chemical salesman will love you if you double the
dilution rates

2. I would trust the manufacturer's recommended dilutions to
be the best way to use their products, most companies
have tested the products long before they apply the
best dilution rates for each particular product.

On heavily soiled If you prespray with punch & agitate I find 4oz.of DS is great with one wet and one slow dry pass.

I have a monthly maintenance on commercial thin padded underneath. 4oz DS one wet pass does the trick.

I think that 6 ounces of DS poured down each drain in your home and business each week well keep things flowing.
