Offices for machine shop (Encap for oil & grease?)

November 4 2009 at 6:29 PM
Micah

Tomorrow I bid offices for a large machining compamy. The carpets are trashed. Full of cutting oil and grease tracked in from the shop, and they have not been cleaned for years. A couple of weeks ago the secretary bought a Bissel so the had her clean them. They just looked worse after that. Is Punch and/or DS right for this? Or do I really need to extract?
Thanks for any input.

Micah,

We clean a transmission rebuilding shop and the carpet in there is full of transmission fluid. What we do is go in and scrub it with the Cimex / Releasit DS combo and then extract with our Butler. Then Cimex / Releasit DS again. At the end it is clean and looks great. I would bet you could do the same thing. The key is to go slow when using the Cimex so that it scrubs it real well.

I've had trouble with oil wicking back up on occasion. I think I'll use your technique. Thanks.

Releasit LOVES oil.
Eats it for breakfast!
