Life's hard when one must take a drive up to the tablelands where it's cooler.

Do nearly three hours work with Big Yella.

Have a beautiful lunch with fresh vegies straight out of the garden, and a steak where the beast was only dressed out yesterday.

This was all washed down with a couple of icy cold schooners, (15oz) beer.

Attended the local markets, then a leisurely drive back down to Cairns.

Oh, and to top it off, I had to accept a tad over AU$600.00 for the job.

Here's a few pics coming back down the Kuranda Range which overlooks Cairns and the Coral Sea.

Basicaly, all the green fields are sugar cane, with some barra; (fish) & Prawn (shrimp) farms included.

The small trickle of water leading to the right, is Trinity Inlet which leads into Cairns.

Out past the end of the small mountain range you can see Fitzroy Island.

Because it was high tide, you can't see Green Island which is eighteen miles to sea.

Smithfield again, the large lagoon is the cable water ski park, next door to Kuranda Sky Rail.

At the moment it's 13:40 Saturday, and in my room with the windows open and ceiling fan on, it's 81f & 68%rh, beautiful.

Ah, if only everyday was like this.
