Snow in Houston Today

Well so far this is not as much snow as last year in houston, but it is still coming down. We also set two records today in Houston. First this is the first time Houston has recorded snow in two consecutive years. Secondly, this is the earliest since 1895 that it has snowed in Houston. I know it is not a big deal to most of you since you see snow all the time, but here in Houston it is a big deal. The kids got out of school early, businesses are closing early, and I think we will do the same since our afternoon carpet cleanings have rescheduled til next week.

Snow In Houston

My daughter called us today about 11:30 am EST and said it was snowing. She lives in LaPorte just outside of Houston. Hopefully she is not there much longer. Her oldest son (6) will like that little bit of snow. He was born in Lakeland, Fl. but when we came back to NY & not the city (there is more to NY than that city stuff!), he spent a whole winter with us and enjoyed the snow.
How would you guys like to drive & clean in real snow? How about -30 below? Did Howard P. close down too?

Wow that's incredible!

We have had some cold but no snow so far. They are predicting Tuesday for a winter storm, so it's coming.
