Steamin Demon Questions

December 13 2009 at 5:38 PM
Matt

I have the XL20, and she is three years old now. I have noticed over the past couple months the vacuum doesn't seem to work as well as it used to. Is there a time when I should be replacing any parts?

Also, I have issues with it leaking from above the wheels, seems that the tank may be cracked, and it is leaking the waste water into other parts of the frame?

Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

It seems to me that the vac loss maybe due to your waste tank crack if you have one.

depending on how large the crack is you can use calking, JB weld or have someone weld it.

It that does not fix your vac problem then purchase a new vac.

I think David nailed it. But if you'd like to call our office, Drew's a wiz with the mechanical stuff and he'll be happy top help you get it sorted out.

Also check the gasket on the solution-view-window that sits on top of the tank. Sometimes they shrink and lose its seal causes vacuum loss.
