So, today I went to Mossman, north of Port Douglas

This is a little job I do every year, carpet and upholstery, Mex; and Mak;

Rex Lookout and Delia in her (old) work shirt (and pants happy.gif )

Before you ask, Hartley's Creek crocodile farm is just under the headland and crocodiles do swim in the creek and along the beach front.

Tourists are warned not to swim unless they like to feed the wildlife.

Looking south back to Cairns, water was calm as a millpond.

These three are looking north to "port"

Many times I have read that the Big Yella is "too big and awkward to manouver in tight spaces", well I disagree with those people.

Here is (I think) a tight situation.

The area in question is behind the desk where the chair is, and how to get in there.

NOTE::: These pics were taken as an afterthought to demonstrate how I do it, hence no power cable attached.

Also, note that I still don't have my Big Wheel kit. sad.gif

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

I have moved the main desk and the attached side desk around at an angle which allowed me to stand the handle of Big Yella upright and drive it through the gap.

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

I then cleaned around and under the desk.

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

Have problems getting to the back of a desk ?? lower the handle making sure first that the tank isn't full.

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

All done, all I have to do is take the gear back down again.

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

It's a long way to the top, but that's where the big bucks are. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I hope this might help a few people to understand just how versatile the Mex; really is.

If I can still get it up @ 65, surely you young guns can. wink.gif

Good one Rick.

That is actually (for those that don't know), my cable joiner.

I did away with the 50' fixed lead and only use leads long enough for the job at hand.

It unlocks and I plug my extension lead in there.

It also stops any moisture getting into the wiring during our wet season.

It is unique in a way that I am able to use sky hooks to keep the leads out of the way also. wink.gif
