Encap-Clean DS is incredibly safe for the environment. In fact the only ingredient that even requires inclusion on an MSDS sheet is isopropyl alcohol (the same stuff that you have in your medicine cabinet). We have not yet played the game and ponied up the big bucks to buy a so called "green" certification. However we do have some awesome "certified green" products in the pipeline - so stay tuned. In the meantime, here is a website that showcases the environmental soundness of Encap-Clean DS. You'll find that it's greener than many of the products on the market with a "green" certification. Check it out...http://enviropact.com

Leeds Labels are a certificate a building receives. Usually a building that qualifies will have a Leeds plaque hung somewhere near the entrance. To keep the plaque they must track their energy consumption and keep it within a certain standard. If you were to use a low moisture program such as encapsulation it may help the building to qualify because it will be consuming less resources throughout the year!

Open the Book a little further

Look up USGBC and the lights will go on.

There are two Certifing (sp) bodies for Cleaning products to be used in a LEED Building. ECOLOGO and GREENSEAL

Join your local USGBC to really get involved. If you hate Green Cleaning you will have problems following the guidelines.

Just break out the simple green it is green seal approved
even though it has carcinogens in it. Many so called green products maybe green for the earth but not to humans.

We always tell clients we use human friendly products, if it is safe for humans it must be safe for the enviorment.
