Janitorial Contractors & Carpet Care

February 26 2010 at 2:04 PM

The tide is swinging back our way. A few years ago buildings gave everything to the Janitorial Contractor to look after, including the carpets. Just picked up our 4th new account this year, companies fed up with crappy carpet care by the Janitorial Contractor, hope the trend continues.

That is a good reason to have a good relationship with janitorial companies, we work with several of them

We in turn have a few good sources to send people when they ask

Very encouraging trend.

I had all but given up on those large buildings with building maintenance companies doing everything from A-Z (ABM, etc). Maybe I need to give them another try.

Don, how have you managed to acquire these? Have you been in steady contact with them for a while or were they previous customers of yours?

Many of the big buildings,in my area, are still controlled by the "Maintenance Mafias". Maybe that trend will change soon.

Right now, I am happy to target the small to medium sized buildings, since the "All in one" companies don't have any interest in those.

you can get a lot of carpet jobs from janitorial contractors
just by asking them. especially dealing with residential cleaners since most do not do carpet cleaning. same with commercial cleaners, the smaller companys rather sub out the work.
