Punch

The ph of Punch concentrate appears to be 8.7

Does the encapsulation process reduce the PH as it dries, and if so what does it end up as. Considering wool carpets like to end up on the acidic side.

Do many here use DS, and or Punch on wool carpets, how does it perform?

That's 8.7 in CONCENTRATE. It gets lower in its diluted state (normally around 7.5 - 8). So we're just about neutral. Yet the cleaning efficiency is pretty darn good. How do we do it? If I told you that, I'd have to kill you.

Punch is an awesome product and it's practically neutral. It cleans extremely well. And any residue left in the carpet is an encapsulant that can be recovered through post-vacuuming, hence there's no soil attracting residue and the carpet stays clean longer. It makes a lot of sense for HWE!

Use Punch and don't worry about the pH on synthetic carpet. And on wool I'd simply use some extra caution. Keep an eye on the colors on wool.

DS and HydrOx are very popular for wool. They work GREAT on wool! Encap-HydrOx has a pH of 3.5 in concentrate.
