8404 Brushes

Can the 8404 be used for grout cleaning? What type of cleaning are they best suited for?

Best brushes for Ceramic tile cleaning

The Yellow Polypropylene brushes will work for cleaning tile, but the 4807 White Nylon would be the best choice for general application. The 4807 brushes are considered safe for all surfaces and the 4804 are safe on most surfaces. In addition to that there are less brush fibers on the 4807 brushes so it will get down in the grout lines more easily! No matter which brush set you choose, adding a little weight to the machine with the Cimex weight kit will expedite the cleaning process!

Is there a way to tell what brushes I currently have? I've never noticed any number codes on them.

Is it clear/opaque fiber? Is it firm fiber? Then it's probably the 4807 brushes

Is the fiber yellow? Then it's more likely the 4804.

By the way, the 4804 polypropelene fiber is a great general purpose brush that can be used for T&G. But like Drew said above, the 4807 brushes will flex down into the grout lines a little better. And like he said, dding weight to the Cimex will help to get the brush bristlees down into the grout lines too.
