Velcro pad for the Makita polisher

March 5 2010 at 6:45 PM

I'm having trouble using my Makita polisher to clean stairs. I find that the velcro drive pad doesn't hold the FiberPlus pad very well. The pad always wants to fly off the driver.
How can I get my hands on a disc with a surface like the Cimex pad driver? That would secure the pad better so it doesn't slip off while I'm doing stairs.

I've experienced the pad building up with fibers from pads etc., like the velcro on OP machines reducing holding power. I simply use a sheading brush used for animals, very fine wire bristles, brush in all directions has never failed me yet, this works great on OP pad maintenance as well.
