Is it ok to add 2-4oz. of Citrusolve to 5 gallons of rtu DS? Or will that break down any of the encapsulating abilities.

Try Encap-Punch

We haven't tested it with Citrusolve. But I think that it might detrimentally affect the crystallization. Adding ingredients to the formula can play havoc with the polymer. And d'limonene is pretty hefty in terms of its solvent properties. So the odds are that it would throw off the encapsulation process of the polymer.

If you need to add some "fire power" you might want to consider pre-spraying with Encap-Punch. Encap-Punch is a CRI approved pre-spray. It encapsulates perfectly with a very robust crystalizing polymer package. And as the name suggests it adds PUNCH to the cleaning. ENcap-Punch is 100% compatible with Encap-Clean, so it's a good option for the heavily soiled carpets that may need a boost. I've used it on some nasty carpets and it works great.

It was more of a odor thing. I have a Customer that I HWE'd and used some Orangesolv on a high traffic area and he really liked the citrus smell. Used DS and he asked where the citrus smell was.

Nice Smell

You want cleaning power & a nice smell use Encap-Basic.

Even just an ounce of Odorcide will make all of these solutions
smell good.

I cleaned a jewelry store last week & a customer came in and made a comment: It smells good in here. I used Encap/ D/S.

I use encap-basic in all residential and always get good comments.
Customers always say, I like that Fresh clean smell.

I agree with you. I like the smell of DS and so so most of my customers. That was why I was asking if I could add Citrusolve for that one specific client.

Oh and I agree Punch is awesome. I used punch as a prespray before cleaning with DS on a hideous wing joint carpet that hadnt been cleaned in over 3 months. Worked wonders. Black to light tan.
