Promo items?

I have decided to stick with doing comm carpet and janitorial work as a part time money maker, while I go to school. (since I am unemployed, thanks to Aramark).

Anyway, do any of you guys give out pens, or mugs to your customers. Remember I only do comm work. I mean I will still do carpets for friends, but thats it. Its all comm work.

So what do you guys give as hand outs?

a thank you card, special offers for our services on all desks, depending on how large the account is maybe gift card to a restaurant we clean to the contact person.

I know you said commercial only and I agree, but, for larger accounts I've decided to offer a 15-20% off coupons for their employees.

I figure they SEE how well you fixed the trashy work carpet so you MUST be able to do a good job on their nice home carpet. If the company has 200 employees it doesn't take much "luck" to get a good bit of extra business at nearly zero cost marketing.
