Tip Blooming w/ OP?

October 16 2010 at 12:05 PM

Joe DeSouza

I'm concerned that I may cause tip blooming with my OP machines on cut-pile residential carpeting...I get calls for condos and am getting tired of lugging my Mytee M12 around for a small job so now I want to just use OP for those - but some of these condos have cut-pile, so what can I do to avoid tip blooming (What pads, procedures, etc.)...I noticed the Orbot is more aggressive than my old Oreck Low Boy, so I want to be safe...

Thanks!

Joe

PS Rick, I used encap-punch for the 1st time a few weeks ago as a prespray before cimexing a CGD in a well worn traffic lane in a library, the results were spectacular!

don't stay in one spot, keep moving.

Use a glider.

Use gladiator pads vs cotton.

use wet (not sopping, lightly wrung) pads.

Finally, confidence.
