Projections

Does anyone have data they can share on how much you can potentially extend the life of carpet by regular cleanings? I realize there are variables but would like some general data that can be used for sales purposes during presentations?

Do not know of any published document on that subject.
A. The mills would never do such a study [would effect sales]

B. We say in our presentations that we can double the useful life of their flooring investment, if they go with our carpet management program.

Several years ago there was data from a study that conducted by Allied carpet fiber showing how maintained carpet lasted longer than non-maintained carpet. A similar study was conducted by Host-Racine, and their results were very comparable. We took the numbers from the Allied research and used them for the graph in the CMS program.

Like anything else, if one maintains it properly it will last a whole lot longer. Your trucks, your car, your Cimex etc. etc.
