| Hi Guys and Gals
I am thinking of adding Duct cleaning to my business. Can anyone recommend a good system? Appreciate your advice.
Thanks

Duct cleaning is not a service I currently offer, but I did it for several years when working for a disaster restoration franchise. If I were to add it to my own business, I would NOT use a system like Rotobrush.
The reason for this is that it's a point-of-contact vacuum with the intake sitting directly behind the brush - which is not bad in itself, but it really doesn't create enough airflow (in my opinion) to properly remove all the dust stirred up by the brush. Bear in mind that it does "okay" but not as well as a negative-air system.
The main reason, though, is the common inability to clean the entire system. If I remember right, the hose on the rotobrush system is 25 feet long. If you are cleaning a system that has ceiling vents, you'll use 8+ feet of the hose just to reach the vent and your brush will sometimes not even reach the trunkline. Too, in many houses, you simply don't have enough hose to clean the complete trunkline itself, which is a major component. So I see it as an incomplete and therefor inferior service.
But again, all of this is just my opinion and there are many people who advocate use of systems such as the Rotobrush.
Some options for negative air systems are Air-Care, Abatement Technologies, Nikro and others.
Keep in mind, though, that you don't have to use one particular company. You can piece together your system, getting components from where you can get the best price. You can also find used systems and components.
If you decide to add this service, read up a lot on indoor environmental issues since that will be required to really sell your new service. Also, look into subbing out to smaller disaster restoration companies who do disaster restoration but don't do duct cleaning and also build relationships with local insurance adjusters/agents.
Hope some of this helps or offers food for thought.

I got the spinvax system. Same concept as roto brush but longer lines. Still cannot get into the trunk line. Also those that use the positive air cut holes in the duct work at the furnace and then patch them up. Do you want to do that. If you ever want I will sell you my spinvax system.
