Theoretic question

Shorty

Let's just say you were retired and owned a motor home, (not a flamin' great tank like my mate JB wink.gif), but just a small one like this...

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

Which is just a camper van, sad.gif but has plenty of room inside.

You intend to do a bit of traveling and help out those people by doing some encapping of carpet and upholstery when you get to those out of the way little places where there isn't a good cleaner within cooee.

Would you take along an Orbot or Cimex??

Thank you one and all in advance.

Shortestwun down under.

Sounds like fun! I'd recommend a small 15" rotary with a solution tank and a pad driver. It won't take up as much floor space. And trust me, floor space in this small rig will be a premium. You'll be able to provide straight encap cleaning as well as bonnet cleaning if you'd like.

I think I would go with what Rick or Iwould try my orbot because the handle folds down. But, there is a 15" rotary that has a handle that slides down also. I don't remember who makes it though.

Different Approach

Rick's right space will be at a premium even in a larger rig. I would not go with a rotary ( no offense rick) as I used one with a tank and didn't like the pattern it leaves. I would buy a 4X6 trailer and tow it behind the van with my Cimex in it. I actually sold my van and TM an bought a second Cimex and put all my cleaning stuff in it. If you try to go with just the van you'll find you will not have a bunch of stuff you need after your on the job. Get the Vnose trailer as there is more room. If you would like to see some pics of mine let me know and I'll send em via email.
When your traveling you won't even know it's there. I pulled mine with a 4 cyl Kia at first and no problem.
BTW I think it's a good idea if you plan on staying at high end campgrounds you could get free camping and pick up some $$$$'s while you vacation. I'm setting myself up for exactly that for my wife and I to do.

Yes please

Thanks for the replies, I have also been thinking about a trailer, I towed one for many years with all my wdr gear in it.

I'll also take you up on the photo offer if you don't mind Rick.

P.S. Put a 17" pad driver with a riser on that rotary, so the driver will extend out beyond the machine a little.

I don't think I'd want to have a vacation RV hauling a trailer. That wouldn't be fun and it would make the gas mileage worse. But that's just me. - I'm like a 3 Stooges movie backing up a trailer (and I've owned a bunch of 'em, between work trailers and boat trailers).

In case yer still up the creek, here it is.

Cooee, not within : figuratively a long way away, far off - England weren't within cooee of beating Australia at cricket

Cooee, within : nearby - I was within cooee of landing a big fish when the line broke. He lives within cooee of Sydney.

This one's a bit crook, but take a squiz anyway.

Another few hours, I'll be off for a dingoes breakfast.

Ooroo,

PS::: In a far off distant land, many, many years ago, I used to drive interstate semi's for a crust, so a little box trailer don't worry me none. wink.gif
