Depends on the restaurant. If it has any grease buildup at all it won't work. I have rarely run across a restaurant that could be encapped only.

You could offer a free demo for about a 100 sq. ft. area, and if they are pleased the next day then you could go for it.

Restaurant work sucks big time. Not only do they usually require a lot of extra work, but the owners usually don't want to pay much. I learned over the years to look for work elsewhere.

Ditto what Joe said...if you like late nights & low pay go for it...but you will most likely need to HWE at some point.

Ditto what Joe said too - or is that "tritto".

I hate restaurants (as a rule) for all the reasons Joe mentioned. If an establishment is well maintained a good encap program can go far to keep it looking great. But if it's a grease pit, you will likely need to throw some HWE into the mix too.

I agree with the above comments. Although we do have a couple of Italian food restaurants that we clean every quarter and we have been doing them now for 4 years. Before we started they had it steam cleaned, but were unhappy with that. We have encapped from day one and never HWE'd them ourselves. We clean them at .15 a sf and the restaurants have to have the tables moved when we get there.

I agree with kevin.
we have been doing a local BBQ restaurant for the past 3-4 yrs encap only.
well let me back up.. we did hwe on a couple places due to grease build up before we took over. now the carpet was replace last year and we do them every 5 weeks encap.

the manager was impress with first time and is still impressed every time we clean and get more than .15 per foot.. plus a bbq sandwich, beans, fries and tea.. happy.gif

they are far and few between but some restaurants care about how they look. that the ones to find.
