I am looking to purchase another portable T&G machine and am lookong at the M12. I like the idea of having two different pumps for carpet and tile. My hesitation is the pumpTec pumps. I have owned 4 different units over the years with the pumptec (1200 psi down to 300 psi) and they just didn't last. I am told that they have improved them but it looks like the same pump i've had before. Are there very many on this board who have this unit and have some hours on it to tell me how it's working for you? Any feed back would be appreciated.

I like my M12, it is defenitely one of my favorite 'tools"; I can clean anything with it, and even use it with a water claw for water extraction...as far as reliability, I bought mine used so I inherited a few problems - one is that the previous owner ran some seriously hot detergent thru it as it corroded the pump! But other than fixing that, its been pretty reliable. I am taking it in next week to get the pump-out upgraded to the newest pump which is a diapragm pump instead of impeller - if you buy a new one, you will have this new pump - my machine is about 4-5 years old with heavy usage and it keeps chugging along - highly recommended
