All new bearings; stainless steel axle; 10" wheels w/ bearings. All it needs is new handle grips and solution hoses.

Better than new

Nice job mate.

I reckon the colors would match my bruises if I tried to work (or lift), that Mex; for to long. wink.gif

CiMAX

January 1 2012, 8:41 AM

I quit lifting equipment a long time ago. At one time I used to heft 21" propane buffers into the back of vans. Now, ramp doors on vehicles/trailers,elevators and/or employees. Runs very smooth although I never ran one of the newer smaller (my son calls them Fisher Price Cimexes)I cannot imagine that they run much smoother. I was going to make it Black and Gold and put a Steeler logo on the motor cover. Maybe my other one will get that

Mike that is a sweet looking restoration job!

What kind of paint did you use for the tank? Do you think it'll manage to hold onto the plastic tank? Or was that old tank a wooden one? wink.gif

It really does look great. I am seriously impressed!

I think black and gold would look tough... Too bad you didn't do this one up in blue and silver. And you could put the Steelers colors on the other one. Then you could pit 'em against each other in the classic Cowboys - Steelers showdown.

Cowboys??

The paint is PlastiDip. 4 coats. Roughed up with 150 grit paper first. I looked for a black tank but could only find a little 4 gallon one.
I would NEVER own anything with the Cowboys on it. Would rather kept it dirty and beat looking.

Too Bad!..........

.............You entered a different kind of before and after photo (Cimex Restoration) because the carpet contrast looks awesome. You may have took the contest with that one. (Smile)

Better is the end afterward of a matter than its beginning.

No Cowboys

Yeah being from Houston and having grown up loving the Oilers and now the Texans. I wouldn't want anything with Cowboys on it either.

I'm just remembering the old Superbowls between those two teams. I think it was 1979 - close game. I'm old.
