cleaning carpet squares

I cleaned carpet squares yesterday with DS2, went back and checked area today and carpet looked spotted like I hit some spots and missed some spots. Traffic lanes didn't turn out too good. What did I do wrong? Can this be corrected before the office open Monday?

Need more information about the "spots"...
1. Were they wicking spots from drink spills?
2. Were they spots that didn't get cleaned evenly?
3. Or were they spots were your machine left wet spots on the carpet?

It sounds like it may have been number two, since you said it looks like you "hit some spots and missed some spots".

Not knowing exactly what caused the "spots" your seeing, the best advice would be to go back and very evenly clean across the affected areas. Keep your moisture level consistent. Make sure to overlap your passes. In fact you could scrub north-south/east-west. Evenness in your cleaning passes is important. Make sure the machine doesn't stand in one place without running - because that can also contribute to wet spots. And then after you finish cleaning you could speed dry the carpet with fans to help minimize the chance of wicking if there's a problem in that area too.

There really isn't a mystery to cleaning carpet squares. Carpet squares don't clean up differently than traditional carpet. Exactly the same in fact. The only difference is their dimension. Good cleaning standards works on all types of carpets. And the encap process is generally consistent straight across the board.
