First of all, I want to say what a great group of customer service reps you have, as I have gotten excellent help from Brenda, Tanoah & Joe. I am new to the encap side of the business, by not carpet cleaning. Their positive upbeat personalities and follow up is unmatached by other wholesales that I have dealt with in the past. Please pass along my many thanks for their combined help with my recent Cimex parts order!!

Now for my question, I owned or have owned truckmounts and untold brands of portable extractors, as well as two brands of portable high pressure extractors. I have decided to totally focus on commercial carpet encaping with my newly rebuilt Cimex. However, I am looking to purchase a self contained extactor (no more pulling a wand for me. Regardless of what you stock, what would you buy? (I have owned a steam demon and did not like it, just not my thing).

What would be the minimun psi you would accept for flushing the carpet prior to encaping with a Cimex?

We sell Kleeenrite. Kleenrite manufactures excellent quality machines. They're well laid out, easy to service, and perform well. We also sell Mytee. Mytee represents some of the best bang for the buck in extractors on the market today. Either brand would serve you well. Let's face it, we're simply looking at various levels of a pump, various levels of a vacuum, stuffed inside a roto-molded box. It's all pretty straightforward.

I would suggest considering something like the Mytee DX 200 Speedster Deluxe. In my opinion, it's all you'd need in a good basic portable. It hits the right balance between squirt & suck, plus it has heat too. I think it could serve you well.

Most self contained units do not hold more then 9 gallons have a flow rate that is pitiful usually .6 is it. after the Chevron brush gets done spreading the solution around there is not much to pick up unless you make additional passes.

Lots of wasted time dump and filling.

If you must I would go with a Windsor admiral
