Cleaning restuarant carpetFebruary 4 2012 at 2:49 PM | Milton |
| I was eating in a restuarant the other day and noticed the carpet could use a good cleaning. Noticed worker sweeping up food off the carpet.Using my Cimex, what would be the best chemical(s) to use to clean this carpet? |

I would use Encap D/S2. Before you give them a price mix up a bottle of d/s2 and do a pre-test of some of the worst spots. Four or five are good. Always leave a nice clean spot on a filthy rug. Now how are they going to get the rest of the rug to match that spot? Have you clean it.
Price the job for vacuumming and moving tables and chairs. Remember Dry strokes and overlap. |

Do yourself and the restaurant a favor use the Cimex to prescrub and than do a good hot water extraction. |

What Don said. The cimex will do well for a pre scrub but with a food type business you will most always need HWE.
You can always give it a shot with just the cimex but if it turns out not so good, guess who is going to look bad.
Me, I stay away from restuarants. |

Hot prespray (I use Power Burst), scrub with Cimex if needed but don't let the prespray dry, hwe. |

if the soil is greasy use hot, hot water and mix in 12 oz per gallon of PUNCH. prespary and let it sit a bit and hit it cimex with hot hot water and 8 oz per gallon DS.. if you get to do it more than once every 3 yrs that would be the good first time cleaning. try to get back in 3 months (good f#*k luck with that) and clean regular mix. then every 3-4 months it will clean up nice.
best bet is tell the manager the carpet is dirty and don't eat there any more. if they let it get that bad they are not in the carpet cleaning business they serve food in a dirty restaurant and don't care..
if they did not inspect kitchens on a regular basis i would never eat out.. even then after working in kitchen i am some hesitant at some places.. if i walk in and the place looks clean, carpet, window sills, return and supply registers then the kitchen is spotless.
good luck but don't feel bad in you don't get it. they are looking for .03 per sg ft and you need to charge at least .15 at min cause it going to be nasty.. |
