Thank you for your great help and information. I think I talked to Beth.I,m an old can,t change HWE fo 31years. I had an 30yr old white carpet that was flooded bad. I did the usual extraction and drying equipt. in place. The third day it was dry, but he old backing had bled and dried looking very bad. The owner only wanted it dried and cleaned nothing else.I used Ricks Releasit. encap-hydrox mixed strong 20 oz to 1 gal and a 175 rotary with fiber pad.
When finished it looked WOW. then I finished the rest with HWE. Thank you again your products made the difference. Thank you. jack z.

Sorry to burst your bubble buddy, but YOU CAN CHANGE.

I also had 30 years up my sleeve with hwe when I listened to Rick say "Forget all you know about HWE and just try cleaning as I tell you".

That was a decade ago at the old Riviera in Vegas (Connections show).

I'm now still doing 6 & 7 days a week (8 days now as the trouble 'n strife went home for a month yesterday wink.gif), but for a young 67 year old, I can handle it.

95% of all my work is now pure encap;.

Shorty.

PS::: Not being nasty, but you really didn't need to go over your work again with the hwe; in my opinion happy.gif

Shorty.

Welcome to the "Dark Side"

Hey Jack,

Welcome aboard!

Up until Christopher Columbus sailed to the "New World" most folks thought the earth was flat. Sure, it seems ridiculous to think of that now - but at one time that's what they believed. It was commonly held that if you sailed far enough - you'd fall right over the edge of the planet and you and your crew would perish. Christopher Columbus was a radical though. He had observed that ships sailed over the horizon and he concluded that there was a curvature to the earth's surface. By today's standards all that stuff about the shape of our planet seems so obvious doesn't it?

Well today's standards for carpet maintenance are changing too. Old HWE practices that were once as commonplace and normal as the ancient concept that the earth was flat are proving to be just about equally outdated. Those old standards are now being replaced with new ideas such as encap. It's a cool time in our industry - to see the old guard moving in new directions so vastly different from the narrow perspective of HWE that they came from. It's really great to see this development since it has so much potential to improve our industry. It looks like we're proving once again that the earth isn't flat. happy.gif

If HWE was faster, get a bigger 175 until you buy a cimex or OP. I can take my 19" 175 with a tank and at least equal anyone doing HWE in anything resembling open space.
